Established in Western Australia in 1975, the Association was formed by concerned parents to support families with brain injured children. 

By fostering help and co-operation between parents, health professionals and concerned citizens, the Association works towards providing emotional and financial support for our children, their families and carers.

AABIC operates as a charity registered by the Australian Taxation Office and the Charitable Collections Office. 

Managed by a Council of 8, consisting of parents and interested community members which meet monthly, AABIC is a totally voluntary organization.
AABIC has no employees and receives no government funding. It relies on investment income, fundraising and the generosity of the public, individuals and corporate organisations for its funding.
